Poor Thor. He's probably going to die in Avengers: Age of Ultron at the hands of the titular robotic villain and he will need to be resurrected from the Asgardian afterlife in order to take part in Thor: Ragnarok. He will then attempt to stop Ragnarok and break the endless cycle of death and rebirth for the Norse Gods by fighting Surtur and, while he may succeed in helping to defeat the monster and quite possibly save a lot of his Asgardian allies, he will meet his demise for a second time - and this time it will be permanent. Chris Hemsworth is one of a few actors in Marvel Cinematic Universe movies who isn't expected to be around for much longer and this movie may well be his last. His death will pave the way for a new-look Avengers roster in Phase 4, as the likes of Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man and Captain Marvel take over. Of course, a reprogrammed Ragnarok (the cyborg Thor clone) could well be utilised as a hero once the real Thor is gone for good, which could give Chris Hemsworth a couple of additional films after this one, only in a different role.
