28 Weeks LaterThe Movies So Far... 28 Days Later... (2002), 28 Weeks Later... (2007) When fans of the original British "zombie" flick 28 Days Later first heard that Hollywood had a sequel in the works, the initial thought was: "What? No. What are you doing?" Eventually, though, their curiosity got the better of them, and when 28 Weeks Later hit theatres excitement was in the air, although they were prepared for it to disappoint. Thankfully such a thing never happened - the sequel managed to feel both fresh and faithful to Danny Boyle's cult original. At the end of 28 Weeks Later, though, the movie clearly set out to create the circumstances for a further sequel, which fans have bestowed with the title 28 Months Later (hey, it makes sense), as we glimpse a brief shot of the virus spreading from the United Kingdom and into Paris, France. Which, of course, gives the franchise room to create a movie about the infection on a global scale. Given how good the first two movies were, then, it'd be nice to finish things up with a third chapter.
