8 Greatest 'I'm Dead And I Know It' Moments In Found Footage Horror Movies

2. Dennis - Paranormal Activity 3

Lake Mungo
Paramount Pictures

Largely taking place 18 years before the events of its two predecessors, Paranormal Activity 3 is viewed by many as being the last great entry in the PA franchise. Sure, the three films that have followed it have all had their plus points, but all three have also felt a little lacking when held up against the original trio of pictures in the series.

For Chris Smith's Dennis, what's shown in the accompanying image is the moment he realised that death was soon to be upon him.

The boyfriend of Julie (Lauren Bittner) - the mother of the previous two movies' tormented siblings, Katie and Kristi - Dennis is thrown into the world of the occult as Paranormal Activity 3 concludes.

After he and Julie agree to take Katie and Kristi to their grandmother's house, it's there that the sh*t really hits the fan as a group of eerie old women - including grandmother Lois - surface. Having seen his girlfriend's body levitate and then thrown in his direction, Dennis winds up laying on the floor, with Lois and the possessed Katie in front of him.

And with that, Dennis finds himself swiftly murdered.
