Okay, so Elektra would first be introduced in the Netflix Daredevil series - but if the plan is indeed to eventually merge Marvel's TV and movie properties, then there's a pretty good chance this deadly assassin will show up in the MCU at some point.
Elektra Natchios is another character that does have a gay counterpart outside of the main 616 Marvel Comics universe (in this case it's the ultra-violent Earth-200111), so again it wouldn't be a huge stretch to introduce her as a lesbian in the Daredevil show.
In those comics, Elektra is actually involved with Vanessa Fisk, who has hired her to bump off her husband Wilson/The Kingpin. This could be the basis for her arc in season 2 of Daredevil if they decide to be a bit less subtle about establishing her sexuality.
