It would be hard to come up with anything that was less scary than a killer lift, a killer snowman or a killer gingerbread man. This 1972 box-office disaster somehow manages to beat them. In Night Of The Lepus, a small Arizona town is overrun by giant, killer bunny rabbits. That might sound like a terrifying prospect to some but the film used domestic rabbits filmed against miniature sets and actors in terrible rabbit costumes to complete the (hilarious) effect. No, the sight of a bunch of cute and fuzzy bunnies running through the streets doesn't exactly strike fear into the heart of man. The film was widely panned by critics for its terrible effects and bad direction. Fluffy rabbits are rarely, if ever, scary. It must have been a career low for star Janet Leigh, who phoned it in along with the rest of the cast (who could blame them?). One of the most bizarre horror movies of all time, it would have been better if they had have made it a spoof rather than playing it straight.
