8 Horror Movie Villains Who Don't Say A Word

6. Sam - Trick 'r Treat

The Strangers Man In The Mask
Warner Premiere

While plentiful heinous acts are carried out by Sam during 2007's Trick 'r Treat, it's hard to ever be all that mad at the little scamp due to how downright mischievous he is throughout his particular spree of chaos in Michael Dougherty's anthology movie.

Decked out with a burlap sack over his head, Sam often serves as a pseudo judge, jury, and executioner in Trick 'r Treat - quietly watching the action of each story unfold, before stepping in to put his own stamp on proceedings when he sees fit or when he feels that the 'rules' of Halloween night aren't being adhered to.

Trick 'r Treat is essentially made up of five segments - six if you count the brief, mood-setting opening - and Sam is never far away, lurking in the background as the main narrative of each segments plays out. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty, mind, as shown with several vicious attacks dotted across the feature.

So popular has Sam proved from his appearance in Trick 'r Treat, the character has gone on to get his own NECA figure, Sideshow Collectables figure, and even been turned into a purchasable Christmas Tree decoration. Now, how about we finally get that long-gestating Trick 'r Treat follow-up, huh?!
