8 Horror Movie Villains Who Don't Say A Word

4. The Xenomorph - Alien

The Strangers Man In The Mask
20th Century Fox

The Xenomorph is one of the most iconic villains in cinema history. While the Alien franchise has often flitted between horror, sci-fi, and action, the Xenomorphs at the crux of the series have continuously proved to be a brutal, unrelenting, near-unstoppable threat.

While they are clearly an alien race of acid-blooded creatures, that doesn't take away the fact that the Xenomorph is a mute beast. Bar the odd shriek or two across the franchise, the species at the centre of the Alien franchise keeps completely silent as it stalks its prey.

Cinematically speaking, this silent but extremely deadly apex killing machine has tormented its victims across four main Alien movies, two Alien vs. Predator offerings, and then there were skewed variations of this monstrous visage in opinion-splitting duo of Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.

Chances are, we've not seen the last of the Xenomorph or its similarly clinical pals - although whether Ridley Scott will ever get to shoot his planned Alien: Covenant follow-up remains up in the air right now, largely due to the hugely mixed response to the two most recent outings for the Alien franchise.
