8 Horror Movie Villains Who Don't Say A Word

3. Leatherface - The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Like some of the other characters featured here, Leatherface is one who has made several appearances over the decades. And like those other characters, Leatherface has spearheaded some all-time classic movies... and some absolute stinkers.

Regardless of which films he's appeared in, however, Leatherface has never uttered a single word.

There may have been the odd shriek of delight as this erratic soul sliced his way through some of his victims, yet no actual words have ever been spoken by Leatherface across the entire Texas Chain Saw Massacre franchise.

Even though Leatherface has carried out so many sinister, savage acts on the silver screen, there's often something somewhat tragic about his story. The way that this human skin-masked killer is bullied and pushed around by his family, suggests that there is clearly some extreme psychological damage at the centre of Leatherface and his murderous ways.

Across eight movies that include sequels, prequels, remakes, and varying timelines, Leatherface has continued his raucous rampage of bloodshed and brutality - and said rampage has seen this iconic figure remain mute throughout.
