8 Horror Movie Villains Who Don't Say A Word

2. Jason Voorhees - Friday The 13th

The Strangers Man In The Mask
Paramount Pictures

The Friday the 13th movies are known to be overflowing with some laughably cheesy dialogue, but fear not, for the franchise's central killer doesn't ever murmur a sound.

There may have been a gargled, panicked scream or two from Jason Voorhees in the original Friday the 13th - after all, the poor kid was left to drown - yet since returning to amass his own body count in Friday the 13th: Part 2 and beyond, Jason hasn't made a peep in the subsequent films. Those subsequent films were made up of a further eight movies up to and including Jason X, the gloriously eccentric Freddy vs. Jason crossover picture, and a surprisingly good remake.

Jason himself may be synonymous with the famed 'ki, ki, ki, ma, ma, ma' sound, yet this is an unrelenting killer who really is silent but deadly. Since donning the hockey mask - well, technically since donning an old burlap sack - Jason has amassed himself a total of 157 kills across his carnage-creating appearances.

Voorhees is as clinical as clinical gets, and he also gets props for the sheer variety of weapons he's used over the years... although the tightly fought battle for the top spot on this list goes to somebody else by the slimmest of slim margins.
