8 Huge Captain America: Civil War & Doctor Strange Reveals From D23

1. Crossbones And General Ross

The Civil War trailer shown actually kicked off with a lengthy fight scene between Captain America's New Avengers and Crossbones, a returning Frank Grillo - now horribly scarred as Brock Rumlow - from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Once Cap deals with him, Crossbones gets the last laugh by revealing that "Your Bucky" (which ended up trending worldwide over the weekend thanks to the Tumblr crowd) actually remembered Steve before HYDRA wiped those memories away. While Cap wins the fight, it's been said that he looks defeated by that statement. That's it for Crossbones, but another character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe's past who has a very interesting role in the footage is The Incredible Hulk's General Ross (William Hurt). Clearly a big proponent of the Superhuman Registation Act, Ross is seen in the New Avengers Facility telling Steve that, "The world owes you an unpayable debt. A lot great many people see you as a hero. There are some who prefer the word vigilante. People are afraid." Cap at some point tells him that, "In this job, you try to save everybody you can. Sometimes that doesn't mean everybody." That's clearly a response to whatever disaster The Avengers caused which led to the government deciding they need to police the world's heroes. These two are no doubt going to have very important roles in Captain America: Civil War, and while this footage certainly teased what they'll be getting up to, it didn't pull back the curtain completely. Another couple of characters who get a moment which has been a big talking point since the weekend are Black Widow and Hawkeye. They're shown fighting in the trailer, with the former asking her old ally, "We're still friends, right?" His response? "Depends on how hard you hit me." Yeah, this movie is going to be a lot of fun... What did you make of Marvel's D23 reveals? Let us know down in the comments.
