4. Marilyn Monroe
This late, great, popular actress, model, singer's most acclaimed performance is that of blonde bombshell, Sugar Kane, in the 1959 comedy, Some Like It Hot, for which she won a Golden Globe.
Born Norma Jeane Mortenson, Marilyn had humble beginnings, growing up in various foster homes and orphanages. On the eve of becoming an icon of popular culture and sex symbol during the 1950s and to this very day, Monroe's first role was as Evie, a waitress in the 1947 drama, Dangerous Years.
The following year, the soon to be top-billed actress had uncredited roles in Green Grass Of Wyoming as an extra at the square dance, Summer Lightning as Betty and an unconfirmed part in You Were Meant For Me. Marylin also had one line and can briefly be seen in Scudda Hoo! Scudda Hay! Monroe and 20th Century Fox claimed that said only line "Hey, Rad!" to the film's star, June Haver, had been cut but that was later refuted by film historian, James Haspiel.
Amongst other films Marilyn Monroe is uncredited for include the western musical comedy, A Ticket To Tomahawk, the sports drama and Right Cross, both released in 1950.
