8 Huge Movie Stars We Wish Would Disappear
1. Mel Gibson
Who would have thought that Mad Max would shed the Max part of his moniker and just mull around Hollywood as a madman?
It can often be easy to forget how big Mel Gibson once was. He's a two time Oscar winner and has appeared in some classics like Braveheart, Lethal Weapon and Mad Max. Despite that, most audiences nowadays don't want to touch him with a ten-foot barge pole, yet he's still finding a fair bit of work, with eleven projects currently pending on his IMDB page.
One of the most obvious reasons for the backlash against Mel Gibson is his sordid history with public meltdowns, and drunken racist and anti-Semitic tirades. His reputation caused plenty of viewers and distributors to dislike him, and his recent acting work isn't of much quality either.
Gibson's rough and gruff typecast used to be a solid selling point, but nowadays, his standard performances have moulded together in a way that makes him seem identical in every part he plays.
With him set to direct and star in Lethal Weapon 5 though, he's not done trying to force a Hollywood comeback.
