3. Denny - The Room

If you've ever sat down and watched
The Room, you're on the right track to ensuring you haven't wasted your life. For those who haven't, there's still time. Aside from being packed to the brim with a whole host of truly enriched and remarkably deep characters,
The Room contains one character who remains such a bizarre oddity of human emotion that we simply must know more about him: his name is Denny, and he's, uh... like, a kid... but he also looks entirely like a fully-grown man. And he's into drugs, maybe. And he likes watching his friends have sex. See what I mean? How do you
not want to know more?
The Spin-Off: "What's The Deal With Denny?"Room fans are still asking that very question today, because seriously... "What's The Deal With Denny?" The spin-off I'm proposing will get deeper into Denny's life after the death of his best friend/mentor/lover (?) Johnny, as he tries to navigate a world that simply refuses to throw the poor kid a bone. Much of the runtime will, of course, be dedicated to Denny's drug addiction, because I imagine there are probably some scary dudes looking for him after the "rooftop incident," and Denny running around (preferably in a tuxedo) sounds good to me. I've heard that Tommy Wiseau, creator of this character and director of
The Room, has admitted that he intended for Denny to be "mentally retarded" when he wrote the script. No way, Tommy - you're not getting out that easy. What is the deal with this character, really? Can we have some backstory or a proper reason for his existence? I'm actually kind of surprised Tommy hasn't tried to make a sequel to
The Room already - it's a gold mine!
