7. Adam Warlock/Magus
Plot details are sometimes revealed via the most unusual of places, and in the case of Avengers: Infinity War, one potentially major spoiler hails from a casting agency listing. This wouldn't be the first time one of these listings has let something slip a little early, but it also wouldn't be the first time that they've been way off base. Regardless, Marvel is said to be looking to cast the roles of Adam Warlock and Magus for the two part movie, with the official description of this take on the character describing the latter as, "Adam Warlock's bad side, the Magus, separates from his body and assembles the Infinity Gauntlet. Magus creates doppelgangers of Earth's heroes as part of his plan to recreate a universe of evil." Thanos having some competition for the Infinity Gauntlet would be nothing new, and Guardians of the Galaxy dropped a pretty major Easter Egg in relation to the existence of Adam Warlock, so chances are that the studio do have plans for him. The Avengers fighting evil versions of themselves doesn't sound like the most original of concepts, but it would surprisingly be something we haven't seen in a superhero movie before now and would probably make for some more interesting fight scenes than the team taking on another bunch of identical canon fodder like the Chitauri and Ultron's army. Regardless, the general assumption has so far been that Avengers: Infinity War will be a straight up battle between them and Thanos (with the Guardians of the Galaxy thrown in for good measure somewhere), but if there's any sort of truth to this casting call, it's a sign that Marvel and the Russos are taking these movies in a vastly different direction to what everyone expected.
