8 Insane Marvel Phase 3 Rumours You Need To See To Believe

8. Tony Stark Creates Spider-Man's Web-Shooters

Let's kick things off with a controversial one, eh? While the "Sony Hack" emails indicated that Peter Parker will don the Iron Spider suit in Captain America: Civil War, one rumour claims that most definitely won't be the case. For those of you unfamiliar with that costume, it's what the comic book version of the character wore during Civil War; the technically enhanced suit was built by Tony Stark and featured tons of gadgets along with four extra arms which sprung out of the back and could be used as weapons. So, instead of that impressive costume or his classic red and blue duds, Peter will have a homemade outfit put together with the kind of materials a real teenager would have access to when we first meet him. That makes perfect sense, but it's been said that Spidey eventually gets something resembling his traditional look, so where does that come from? Tony Stark, of course. It's possible then that the suit will have a few extra gadgets taken from the Iron Spider to help Marvel's Spider-Man stand out from what's come before, but here's what's upset fans: Iron Man is also responsible for the creation of the web-shooters! In the comics - and The Amazing Spider-Man movies - Peter is the one who made those in an early demonstration of his scientific know how. When you really think about it though, is it really believable that a 15 year old could not only come up with that amazing chemical solution, but also the devices which fire it? It depends on how smart this Peter is really, but if this rumour is true (and on a lot of levels, common sense says that it probably is), then here's hoping he at least plays some sort of role in their creation. Other rumours meanwhile point to Tony Stark not only being a mentor to Spider-Man, but the inexperienced hero being on #TeamIronMan, so this could be the beginning of a big new friendship in the MCU...
