8 Insane Marvel Phase 3 Rumours You Need To See To Believe

6. Marvel Has Scrapped The Inhumans

Kevin Feige recently decided that he had had enough of reporting to frugal Marvel CEO Isaac Perlmutter, and so Marvel Studios now falls under the watchful eyes of Disney. There's apparently been a lot of tension between the two for some time, and that actually reached its boiling point when Perlmutter very nearly fired Robert Downey Jr. because of his demand for more pay to return in Captain America: Civil War. Marvel TV on the other hand still comes under the purview of Perlmutter, hence why a divide has now grown there as well, and Inhumans may be the first to suffer for it. While it still has a release date, Feige has apparently scrapped the movie and was only ever making it in exchange for being allowed to move forward with his diverse passion projects Black Panther and Captain Marvel. Dropping Inhumans would potentially hurt Marvel TV because Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has committed to essentially promoting that movie for the next three years with Inhumans related storylines. It's even been claimed that Iron Fist (the fourth of Marvel and Netflix's TV shows) is going to be dropped because of creative interference with Marvel Studios, and if all of this is true, a Civil War could be brewing between not just Captain America and Iron Man, but these two studios as well, and that could spell doom for them both. Bleeding Cool's rumour has been met with a lot of denials from other sites, but it's worth noting that the same thing happened when they reported on potential problems behind the scenes with Fantastic Four. Marvel Studios dropping Inhumans and screwing up Iron Fist doesn't make a lot of sense on the surface, but as we're not privy to what exactly is going on behind the scenes, there's at least a chance this could be true!
