8 Major Batman V Superman Details Revealed By Total Film

7. Batman v Superman's "Prologue" Sequence

As seen in the trailer for Batman v Superman, Bruce Wayne was present when Superman and General Zod had their epic battle in Metropolis. It was there that Bruce witnessed the destruction of Wayne Financial, a building full of his employees, leaving them among the thousands who were killed that day. Up until now, fans have assumed that we would see that battle from Bruce's perspective in just a brief flashback sequence, but Henry Cavill has revealed that we'll actually see the battle between Superman and Zod from Batman's perspective - minus his cape and cowl - as an entire "prologue" sequence. "What happens there is one of Bruce€™s buildings gets destroyed and he€™s trying to save all the people inside the building and he can€™t," the British actor explained before going on to offer some insight as to why Batman later decides to target the Man of Tomorrow. "So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he does decide to turn against us?" Total Film goes on to reveal that after that, things jump forward by 18 months, a pretty significant gap which for now leaves us all wondering why Batman would wait that long to target Superman. Perhaps he just needed time to investigate or build that massive armoured suit to take the Man of Steel down with?
