8 Major Comic-Con Revelations Everyone Missed

4. Franklin Storm Is A Kind Of Father To Doctor Doom In Fantastic Four

There were some crossover rumours flying around at the Fantastic Four panel this year. Speculation was mostly drawn up by fans and fuelled by the cast members - Miles Teller and Jamie Bell approved of an X-Men team-up, while new Doctor Doom Toby Kebbell didn't hold back on his love for Marvel, with his, "can someone at Marvel and someone at Fox talk, and just lend [Doom] out, like football?" comments.

Kebbell also revealed another nugget regarding the rebooted Fantastic Four movie. According to him, Victor von Doom won't get his own origins story in the film, but it will at least be made clear to the audience that this Doctor Doom is already unprecedentedly close to Johnny and Sue Storm when the film begins.

In fact, Kebbell says Victor von Doom is a kind of adopted son of Dr. Franklin Storm (played by Reg E. Cathey in the reboot), someone who Victor considers a "new father". Which certainly adds a twist to the standard 'Dr. Doom being evil and getting revenge just because' narrative.
