8 Marvel Actors Who Were Cast In The Wrong Parts

3. Tim Roth

Hugo Weaving was all about that sweet, sweet paycheck when he played the Red Skull and said as much in later interviews. He also said he had no interest in ever playing the role again, which is probably why the character has yet to reappear.

Tim Roth playing The Abomination, on the other hand, was one of the most fun elements of The Incredible Hulk, and even fans who didn€™t like the film enjoyed his super hammy performance. Unfortunately, since The Incredible Hulk has since become the black sheep of the MCU, neither he nor The Abomination have been seen since (despite claims he was due to return for Age Of Ultron).

Who He Should Have Played Instead: Red Skull

Roth would have had a blast playing Captain America€™s most famous nemesis, and could have made the character threatening and fun at the same time, giving it the energy Weaving wasn't bothered enough to provide.

Plus he would have been up for playing the character more than once, so Red Skull wouldn€™t be left in a permanent state of recasting limbo.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
