Gorr the God Butcher was such a powerful enemy of Thor that it took, not two versions of the God of Thunder to defeat him, but three. While Avengers Thor followed the villain into the future and teamed up with King Thor, they both met the younger version of themselves there.

As part of crafting his Godbomb, the device that would kill Gods not only across space, but to the furthest reaches of time, Gorr travelled to the past and made slaves of Gods to build the weapon for him. One such God was a young Thor, more than a thousand years younger than when he joined the Avengers.

With Loki having just played with the idea of multiple versions of different characters existing in the MCU, seeing a third iteration of Thor may not be as far fetched as once it would have been. Taika Waititi may even be able to lean into the strange premise, and have a little fun with it.

At this time, the God of Thunder was not yet worthy of lifting Mjolnir, and spent his days living as the God of the Vikings on Midgard. This could be a naïve version of Thor that has only briefly been touched on in the MCU, and would give Chris Hemsworth the perfect opportunity to make fun of the dyed eyebrows his character used to sport.
