8 Marvel Characters That Could Appear In Thor: Love & Thunder

Love and Thunder will bring into the franchise Jane Foster as the Goddess of Thunder, and Gorr the God Butcher, seemingly merging two different storylines from Jason Aaron’s Thor run. Outside of these stories, and outside of the Guardians of the Galaxy however, there will also be the introduction of another major character.

Zeus, set to be portrayed by Russell Crowe, will be making his MCU debut in 2022, and while he doesn’t have any ties to either storyline in the comics, it could be that the Olympian is one of the Gods Gorr targets before turning his attention to Thor. With the news of Zeus’ inclusion comes the natural theory that his son could also appear.

Hercules has had a long and storied history as a hero in Marvel Comics, becoming a member of both the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, having a troubled relationship with his father, and something of a rivalry with the God of Thunder.

Should Hercules appear, it may simply be as a cameo or even a post credit tease for future appearances, and if the rumours of Henry Cavill meeting with Marvel are true, it’s hard to think of any other character than Hercules he would be more perfectly suited to playing.
