Doctor Strange has been as good as confirmed for a movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after he was name-dropped by Jasper Sitwell in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. If indeed he gets his own movie (or movies), then at some stage we would definitely anticipate Dormammu appearing on screen. He has thousands of spells to invoke and an army of Mindless Ones to call upon (who are far more formidable than the likes of the Chitauri or Dark Elves, for example, that we've seen so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). If a character of his power and appearance could be given life by a top actor, he could become a frightening cinematic icon whose popularity could dwarf that of his fellow magic user Loki.
