4. Naomi Watts
Born in England with Australian relatives, Naomi Watts got her start in H&A in 1991. Playing Julie Gibson, a woman paralysed by a car accident who begins a relationship with police officer Nick Parrish (Bruce Roberts), Watts appears in only nineteen episodes, and left the show after Julie was written out to attend university.
Her career since this humble start has been nothing short of extraordinary, and she often ranks as one of the best actresses currently working.
Watts' first major role came in David Lynch's neo-noir mystery Mulholland Drive (2001), a role which was followed by The Ring (2002), 21 Grams (2003), King Kong (2005), Eastern Promises (2007), The Impossible (2012), and Birdman (2014). She has been nominated two Academy Awards for her film work.
Outside of the movies, Watts has also had roles in shows such as BoJack Horseman (voicing a fictionalised version of herself) and Twin Peaks: The Return (2017), which reunited her with Lynch.
