There's a lot of blank white space on this poster for 2017’s Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets, which makes it all the more impressive that the marketing team was able to slot in a rather nifty little easter egg.

Shift your gaze away from the eclectic cast of characters squashed inside the giant letter "V", and look at the top-right corner of the image. There, you'll see a potato-looking alien whose head is partially obscuring a word, which looks like it reads "Korben's."

But why is that significant? Well, Valerian director Luc Besson helmed The Fifth Element in 1997, a weird sci-fi adventure starring Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich. In the film, Willis plays a character called Korben Dallas, a futuristic taxi driver.

So, the word "Korben's" on the Valerian poster is a nice way of referencing the director's most famous - and arguably his best - movie.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
