8 Most Cringeworthy Moments In 2015's Comic Book Movies

2. Reed's Face - Fantastic Four

Don't get me wrong, while it's kind of cool that Fantastic Four paid homage to the source material by having Reed Richards use his abilities to disguise his face, that makes the way the reboot executed it no less cringeworthy. Clearly yet another scene inserted at the last minute due to the troubled movie's reshoots, the special effects were horrendous, and so this just comes across as an embarrassment. It doesn't help that this scene comes straight after the bizarre one year time jump which makes Fantastic Four feel like it's missing a second act of course, but in a movie which surprisingly had some solid special effects (whatever other faults it may have had, The Thing looked great), this scene looks like it would have been more at home in the terrible 2005 and 2007 Fantastic Four movies...both of which were better than this! Talking of physical appearances, it's impossible not to mention Kate Mara's wig. The actress obviously believed she had finished work on the movie and ended up cutting her hair short, and so she wears a wig in all of the scenes which were part of the reshoots. That's a huge chunk of the movie, and her hilariously awful fake hairdo should bring on a cringe each and every time you see it show up in this disappointing release.
