2. Quentin Tarantino
I once made a comment to somebody regarding the fact that I don't really enjoy Tarantino films (with the exception of Pulp Fiction, of course). The response by the individual that I was speaking to? Well, it came close to that of a physical attack. And to this day, I'm still pretty sure there was a threat of dismemberment in there at some point, too. This is just one way that fans of Quentin Tarantino might make their commitment known. The director that brought us Kill Bill, Django Unchained, and Jackie Brown has carved what could quite possibly be the deepest ties with his fans - and it's sort of scary. Tarantino fans wait with zen-like patience for this incredibly unique director's next filmic venture, but when the time almost arrives for a new film, that patience becomes a wrath of craze and excitement that may frighten nearby children. For many fans, it doesn't matter how good or bad the film is (and if you ask a fan it will always be good), it will be considered the greatest achievement in film history up to that point. Tarantino fans are loyal and devoted without question, and they come by the bus load. It's seriously difficult to find a director with a group as tough as these guys.
