8 Movie Monsters Ruined by Recent Films (And The Films That Could Save Them)

1. Zombies - Warm Bodies

warm-bodies-2-to-1-image What better way to make a really original, creative film than to take what made Twilight successful and apply it to zombies rather than vampires and werewolves? How about doing that, but adding in completely obvious references to Romeo and Juliette that nobody found intelligent or funny. John Malkovich and Nicholas Hoult throw in solid performances, especially the latter€™s great zombie scenes early on, but the film itself was a major disappointment for those hoping for another rare, intelligent zombie film amongst a genre almost as clattered with bad B-movies as the aforementioned Sharks. Who Can Save Them? 2012 failed to provide a new larger scale zombie film with any real context or plot, so we zombie lovers must wait another year. But the time for waiting is over. We are mere weeks from seeing the epic World War Z in action. With large set pieces, an emotional storyline and some questionable CGI scenes, the new Brad Pitt starring thriller will be an interesting watch for fans of the undead.
