8 Movie Plot Holes You Didn't Realise The Movie Actually Solved
1. Why Couldn't Snoke Sense Kylo Ren Moving The Lightsaber? - Star Wars: The Last Jedi
The "Plot Hole": In the Throne Room scene, why couldn't Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis), a supposedly ultra-powerful Force user, sense that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) was rotating his lightsaber and preparing to slice him in half?
Why It Actually Isn't: There are two easy answers to this. First of all, Kylo Ren was rotating his own lightsaber in his hand at the same time he was rotating the Skywalker lightsaber next to Snoke, which may have thrown Snoke off.
More crucially perhaps, is that Snoke does indeed accurately sense Kylo Ren's intentions: still full of hate, he planned to strike down his enemy. Snoke can't simply read someone's mind like a garden variety telepath, so Ren managed to conceal from him that the object of his attack was himself rather than Rey (Daisy Ridley).
