6. Laurie Strode Is Still Alive - Halloween H20

Jamie Lee Curtis made her name from a series of horror movies in the early eighties, including Prom Night, The Fog and, of course, playing Laurie Strode in Halloween. She then made a conscious choice to move away from the genre, and declined Halloween IV when it came her way.

Part four and five followed Lauries daughter being stalked by her evil uncle, and part six had a young Paul Rudd being chased around by both Michael and an insane cult. The series found itself in a rut around this time, so when Jamie said she wanted to revisit the character the studios rolled out the red carpet.

Since part four stated explicitly that Laurie died in a car crash, it was decided H20 should just ignore anything that happened after Halloween II. So H20 has Laurie in hiding and raising a teenage son, and theres no mention of her having had a daughter.
