8 Movie Villains Who Were Way Worse In Real Life

1. Amon Goeth - Schindler's List

Having committed a number of truly great villainous performances to screen, Ralph Fiennes is something of an expert in evil characterisation. That's precisely why he's so stunning and terrifying as Płaszów camp commandant Amon Goth in Schindler's List.

In a film that doesn't necessarily need a personified evil given its portrayal of the Nazis' persecution and extermination of millions of Jews, Fiennes' Goeth still manages to stick out as particularly heinous. He is an inhuman monster who treats his "prisoners" with something significantly less than contempt, rules through fear and entertains himself with murder. He's also a rapist, an abuser and a despicable pig dressed in human clothes.

And he's NOTHING compared to the real-life Goeth.

Such was the real man's evil that he was fired from his job at Płaszów by his Nazi overlords for mistreatment of the camp prisoners. He was a sadist and murderer - infamously killing 50 Jews on the holy festival of Yom Kippur in 1943 and feeding victims to his dogs alive. He might have felt protected by the power given to him - as he said at his trial - but he was even too much for the Nazis and was removed from his position in 1944.

Imagine being so evil the Nazis don't want you.
