6. Luke Cage
Back in the '70s, Luke Cage was a product of his time. Strutting around in a lemon-yellow shirt and a belt made from a chain, he constantly needed to reiterate (and I mean every single issue) that he was made of "300 pounds a' steel-hard skin an' muscle, ya turkey!" Thankfully, the character has become a bit more progressive these days, becoming one of Marvel's premiere black superheroes and a former leader of The Avengers. He told Iron Man where to shove it on a regular basis. Cage epitomised the idea of breaking through racial barriers, from a cliche' Harlem prison project to winning the respect of the most powerful people on Earth. With many bemoaning the lack of major black superheroes, a Luke Cage project would certainly be a winner. Especially paired with...
