Before you explode with anger, citing the fact that Stan Lee is the Lord Commander of all things Marvel and cannot be fired, his inclusion merely gestured he be fired as an actor of the cameo variety, mind - not "fired" from involvement in the MCU canon entirely! Oh, that obligatory Stan Lee cameo was funny the first, second, third and even fourth time that it occurred. It was something amusing to look out for; like when Hitchcock appeared for a brief moment in his own pictures. But now the impact - and thus the charm - of seeing the Marvel mastermind popping up in every film has been noticeably lessened, to the point where it's not really very funny anymore - only distracting. How long will this gag play out? 'Til Lee finally croaks? Maybe it's time to tell Stan that it's worn a bit thin - that having the same old man in every movie throwing out a comic one-liner loses its inherent fun factor when you've seen it happen, oh, eighty-seven times.
