8 Post-Credits Scenes Marvel Didn’t Have The Balls To Shoot

3. Thanos Actually Being... Thanos

Since the end of the first Avengers movie, Thanos has been built up to be the big-bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the endgame as it were, at least for those characters as we know them from Phase One.

We€™ve been led to believe he€™s an all-powerful character, based on what is known of him from the comics, and the fact he€™s the one who has been pulling the strings behind the scenes since The Avengers. It culminated with his appearance post-credits in Age of Ultron, grabbing the Infinity Gauntlet and exclaiming that he€™ll do it himself.

While it was still pretty cool, it didn€™t really introduce us to anything new. Infinity War had already been confirmed by this point, and the idea of it seeded long before then. We know that€™s what it€™s building up to, but through his brief appearances in both Avengers movies and Guardians of the Galaxy, we haven€™t really seen why he€™s this overarching villain who€™s going to cause total destruction.

A scene of him showing just how powerful he truly is could€™ve been pretty epic. Obviously he€™ll get more powerful with the Infinity Gems, but even before that he€™s capable of some pretty major levels of bad-assery. Something like him destroying Nova Corps to get his hands on one of the Gems would fit within the narrative, and showcase just what he€™s capable of.
