At long last, both DC and Marvel will be putting female superheroes front and centre of their universes, with standalone films for Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel. It's DC who'll get there first on this one, with Princess Diana first appearing in Batman V Superman, and then jumping into her own movie in 2017, just before JLP1. It certainly seems as though she's going to have a big role to play in the DCEU, however for her solo outing you'd imagine that it won't be taking place around the likes of Gotham or Metropolis, but instead back in her homeland of Themyscira. With the character being established in BvS, it'd be good to introduce her world as well rather than jumping into it cold when the film comes around, so teasing Themyscira being under attack, causing the necessity for Wonder Woman to return, would be an interesting and exciting way of setting things up.
