At least the makers of the Friday The 13th reboot came up with a decent explanation for why Jason Voorhees always manages to outrun his victims hes using a system of shortcut tunnels underneath Camp Crystal Lake. Alas, not only is Michael considerably slower than Jason, but suburban Illinois doesnt really allow for the construction of tunnels, leading to a much more elaborate explanation for his abilities. Myers doesnt run, he walks, so his ability to catch anyone can only be attributed to an ability to transport himself through space and time. Since he can only come out on Halloween night, he makes up for his lack of agility by being able to appear where and when he chooses, and to hell with logic. What, a guy in a Captain Kirk mask is going to obey physical laws?
