8 Problems With John Wick No-One Wants To Admit

7. So... How Does This Secret Society Work?

As cool as the world-building in the John Wick films is, there are a Lot of things which make no sense.

Everyone in New York seems to be involved with the society, especially at the end of Chapter 2 where everyone present in Central Park seemed to be answering to Winston (Ian McShane), and at the start of the third film a random taxi driver and a random homeless man were also members. Not only this, but John magically knew they were involved... somehow.

Additionally, the entire thing is apparently overseen by the Elder, some guy who sits in a tent in the middle of the desert. How on earth can he oversee anything from there? Oh, and what about the way in which no bystanders ever react to the fights going on, even when they're occurring in the crowded New York Central Station? All of this is just thoroughly implausible.

There was also that bizarre scene in Chapter 2 involving a bank run by Jewish caricatures, which felt like antisemitism on the film's part.
