There was a lot of hype for Batman V Superman and it really blew up in DC and Warner Bros’ faces. The film polarized audiences, didn’t make as much money as they hoped for and was savaged by critics.

Despite all of this, many of these same people will still give the Batman film a chance, if only because of Affleck, whose presence gives legitimate cause to be excited again.
