2. The Cast Is More Impressive
Captain America: Civil War features one hell of an ensemble, but Batman V Superman's cast is no doubt far more impressive.
Ben Affleck may not be the box office draw that Robert Downey Jr. is just yet, but it's easy to see that being the case after this movie is released. An A-List talent like him taking on the role of the Caped Crusader is in equal parts surprising and exciting, especially after critically acclaimed turns in The Town, Argo and Gone Girl.
Henry Cavill impressed as Superman back in 2013 of course, while the casting of Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, and Ezra Miller (all of whom have impressed in a big way at some point or another) is intriguing and unique enough to really draw a lot of interest. Oh, and don't forget the amazing supporting cast made up of names like Jesse Eisenberg and Scoot McNairy! Batman V Superman is a movie with a very different, very diverse, and very interesting set of actors.
That's not to say Civil War doesn't have that, because it does. It's just that overall, Batman V Superman's ensemble is fresher and easier to get excited over as a result. Time will tell which ends up impressing the most, but for now, there's a clear favourite.
