8 Reasons Why The Lego Movie Will Be Awesome

1. It's Lego!

Lego has been an integral part of many people's childhood since the 50s, and since then a global subculture has emerged. It has spawned hundreds of sets, a collection of entertaining games, a variety of cool merchandise and even six themed amusement parks. It's undeniable that Lego is massive and it unquestionably appeals to all ages. Many of the older fans take great pleasure in constructing some amazing MOCs (My Own Creation), from astounding 150,000 piece Lord of the Rings-themed Helm's Deep creations, to intricately detailed 100,000 piece Star Wars-themed Battle of Hoth displays. Of course, the possibilities with Lego are endless, as many fans of all ages will attest to. Lego are more than aware of their market, of course, with sets ranging from toddler's Duplo to the well-designed, older orientated architecture builds. It's always been a fantastic product... and even more so in recent years. The prospect of finally receiving this film is more than exciting for a lot of people. It has garnered a great deal of interest from many, and it actually looks worth paying the ticket price for. Artists Tegan and Sara have also teamed up with the comedic group The Lonely Island to produce the theme 'Everything is Awesome,' which is just the icing on the Lego cake. The directors have appeared to be really hands on with this project, and they've assembled one of the best casts of 2014. They have both proved their worth in the past and this is their biggest challenge yet. Here's hoping that The Lego Movie pays off brilliantly and that it - deservedly - becomes one of the most enjoyable movies of 2014. Like Lego? Excited for this movie?
