8 Reasons Why Justice League Will Make Ben Affleck The Definitive Batman
1. He Assembles The Justice League
Justice League introduces popular characters like The Flash to cinema audiences for the first time, and it looks like Batman might have a mentor-role for some of these new heroes.
Despite Man of Steel technically being the first DCEU movie, BvS establishes and expands the DCEU, building on the original tone. After Superman’s death, the torch of the DCEU is handed on to Batman, who decides to unite the League.
Since BvS, Bruce Wayne/Batman made several appearances in Suicide Squad and delivers the photograph for Wonder Woman in her solo movie, which brought back her memories of when she left Themyscira.
If the DCEU can replicate the MCU’s success, then each character in the DCEU will be considered the definitive incarnation of that hero, like how Mark Ruffalo is undoubtedly the most memorable Hulk, mostly because we remember his interactions with the other MCU heroes.
As the DCEU expands and the other members of the Justice League have their own individual movies, Ben Affleck’s Batman will be remembered (like Iron Man is in the MCU) as the central hero of the DCEU.
