8 Reasons Why Miles Morales Shouldn't Be The Movie Spider-Man Yet

1. Morales Can Be Introduced Later On

The ultimate (pun intended) question for all those disappointed that Morales will not be Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is this: Why are you so sure Morales will not be in the reboot? Morales could easily appear in the new Spider-Man film series, just not immediately as Spider-Man. Marvel/Sony could introduce a young Morales in the first film, and after movie audiences get to know him (and Holland ages out of the Parker role), he can assume the Spider-Man identity at the end of a future sequel. That gives fans of the movies who don't read comics (which are most of them) a chance to learn who Morales is and what his character is all about beyond his biracial background, which is all most people seem to know about Morales at the moment, before he starts webslinging. With Falcon recently assuming the Captain America identity in the comics, most fans would likely be on board with the same happening in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point (especially since they have gotten to know the character in Captain America: The Winter Soldier). Marvel could easily build interest in Morales the same way. Spider-Man may now be Peter Parker, but don't expect it to be that way forever. Do you think Sony/Marvel should have used Miles Morales as he new movie Spider-Man? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!
