The love that Sophie Turner gets for her portrayal as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones is more than a little baffling, considering that she's a fairly wooden actress whose line-readings are always pretty stagnant. It then becomes a bit of a mystery as to why she was cast as Jean Grey for X-Men: Apocalypse, a role she will be required to put an accent on for. Never a good thing. Oh, wait, it's the red hair and the modicum of star appeal she's amassed from GoT. That's it, isn't it? Was there really no other talented redhead for the role? Turner's cardboard-esque stylings could really damage the ensemble cast, and Jean Grey's role is a fairly heavy-duty one as she finds herself plagued by all those terrifying visions of the future. We'll have to wait and see whether she can shoulder the burden.
