Independence Day 2 (2015) 19 Years
For those who have gone back to watch the original of this alien-invasion franchise, they would have to admit it is much cheesier than one remembers. It was full of A-list stars that fell in the shadow of Will Smith's one-liners and repetitive on-screen personality. This was a fun and entertaining film without a doubt. But in retrospect, it really compares with some B-rated sci-fi flicks with its almost laughable plot lines. The production of the sequel may seem worth it because of the once-a-year marathon on Fourth of July in America where the movie becomes popular again for 24 hours. But is it really worth it? For anything other than money, not at all. But will we end up seeing it? More than likely because "why not".
