8 Shocking Horror Movie Monsters With Surprising Powers

7. Wounds - The Cheek Tenant

Now I am not one to recommend an Armie Hammer movie under any circumstances, so just accept this entry for what it is and don’t bother watching the whole thing.

The monster in question doesn’t have a physical form that I can describe, but instead lives inside a human host - a cheek, to be more specific. After a group of college kids summon an otherworldly presence, it takes up residence in a festering facial wound.

From the weird goings-on we can deduce this beast is capable of hypnotism, of operating portals to other worlds, parroting voices or controlling people like puppets, and even of manifesting physical substances and creatures.

We don’t know exactly where it came from, what its intentions are and how it does what it does - only that it wants a stronger host and is capable of doing all sorts to obtain that. It also seems to really like teeth?

As the film ends with the being getting its way and transferring into its new host, Armie Hammer, we can only assume the sequel starts with it immediately leaving because nobody wants to be near that.
