I’ve shoe-horned this fella into one or two lists before just because I enjoy him so much, and here he is again because he fits so damn well.

The Seed sees three friends come into contact with an alien lifeform in the wake of a meteor shower. They find him charred and weakened, curled up on the lawn after dropping from the sky. Thinking he’s just a weird wounded animal, one girl brings him inside and feeds him - and this is when he unleashes the extent of his powers.

He is able not only to hypnotise people to his will, but able to expand his tiny body into a mass of red, fleshy tissue and absorb people within it. At his will he can induce hallucinations, confusion, compliance and all manner of madness.

Further to his mental manipulation he infects people with some sort of illness that causes them to vomit and leak black liquid and bloat painfully, as if they will burst. You would never expect it from looking at him, but he’s quite the fiend.
