8 Simple Fixes To Improve Star Wars: The Last Jedi

7. The “Space Gravity" Issue

There are two parts to this that tend to annoy people - one of which, I can answer.

First, the bombs from the opening scene. Though yes, they're seen dropping through space, they first begin building momentum from inside Paige Tico's ship through simulated gravity. It can be assumed that they continue through space because of this, and honestly, that should be enough for anyone.

The arching bolts at the end though? They're more of an editing mistake, as throughout the movie, whenever we see the rebel fleet being fired upon, the blasts coming from First Order freighters fire straight.

It's only after Snoke reveals his plan and they open fire once again, that we see ship cannons firing bolts upwards - only for them to come back down on resistance ships. This gives the impression of an "arc" through space, despite - obviously - there being no gravity.

The fix is editing these blaster bolts so they fire straight in both specific shots, then boom, no more gravity problems.
