6. Keanu Reeves Will Keep Making John Wick Movies "As Far As The Audience Wants To Go"
Before it was released, nobody had high hopes for John Wick. Keanu Reeves wasn't much of a draw at the time, and it looked like another one of those cheap, straight-to-DVD action flicks, whose only purpose was to pad out the bargain bin.
But clearly, we were all very wrong. Three films and hundreds of millions of dollars later, John Wick is one of the hottest properties in the blockbuster game, and a fourth instalment is reportedly set to begin filming this June.
Needless to say, the series is incredibly popular (it's even being expanded to the small screen) and as a result, leading man Reeves has come out and said that he will continue making John Wick movies - as long as they remain successful.
"As far as my legs can take me" and “As far as the audience wants to go" were the exact phrases he used. The power is in our wallets!
As profitable as the trilogy of films has been, John Wick is still a mid-tier franchise from a mid-tier studio, so the future of the series isn't guaranteed. Based on Reeves' comments, the fate of that supposedly in-development fifth instalment - and any instalments beyond - is hinging on the success of John Wick 4.
