8 Teased Movies That Will ONLY Happen If Upcoming Movies Succeed

5. Spiral Could Lead To A Leprechaun Reboot

The Leprechaun franchise has been dormant since 2018's Leprechaun Returns, a movie that didn't exactly set the world on fire.

Since then, there's been very little forward momentum on another instalment in the series, and considering that we're getting so much amazing horror these days - even Oscar-winning horror, like Get Out - it's starting to feel like there's less and less demand for these schlocky B-movies that tend to be mediocre at best.

What Leprechaun needs is a filmmaker with an interesting take, someone who could perhaps reinvent it - and that might just be happening within the next few years.

That's because director Darren Lynn Bousman - who helmed a couple of Saw movies - wants to get his hands on Leprechaun if his next Saw movie, Spiral, is a success. Bousman actually tweeted this desire at Lionsgate (the distributor of Leprechaun and Saw), and what's more, they responded quite positively.

The tantalising thing here is that Spiral seems to be a reinvigoration of the tired Saw formula, so if Spiral is a success - and Lionsgate agrees to give Bousman a shot - Leprechaun can receive the same treatment.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too.
