8 Things Batman V Superman Did Better Than Captain America: Civil War

4. The Motivations For The Fight

The fight in Captain America: Civil War really feels like it all could have been avoided with a nice, quiet chat. It was ultimately Tony Stark’s ego and guilty conscience blinding him to his mistakes, which will lead to a lot of expensive redecorating at that airport. We’ll let him have his anger over the Bucky thing at the end, though; that one’s understandable.

The fight between Batman and Superman, however, feels inevitable from the start, when Bruce Wayne sees the destruction of Metropolis first hand. His anger and paranoia gradually build as the plot progresses, and Superman clearly isn’t a fan of Bats brutal methods either. Once it starts you get a true sense of the hatred they have for each other, and believe Batman is more than willing to plunge that spear into Superman’s chest.

It’s a good thing their mothers share the same first name because otherwise, that could have really gone south fast.
