8 Things We Can't Wait To See In This Year's Marvel Movies
2. The Meeting Of X-Men Past & Present (X-Men: Days Of Future Past)
We've seen Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier and we've seen James McAvoy as Charles Xavier. In the same vein, we've seen Ian McKellen as Magneto and we've seen Michael Fassbender as Magneto - this year we're going to get to see them all in the same movie, teaming up with alternate versions of themselves for the good of mutant-kind. Not only does this movie see a team-up between X-Men from different times, it will also see heroic and villainous mutants being forced to pull together for the bigger cause. Whether or not the two versions of Xavier and Magneto are actually going to meet and/or have much direct interaction with each other remains to be seen, but the fact that these very different versions of each character will be forced to comply with each other - despite, perhaps, having very different beliefs at these different points in their lives - will make for a very interesting dynamic. It looks as though Wolverine is going to act as some kind of mediator between the different generations - and that's something that will also be very interesting to see. Regardless, the introduction of time travel as a concept in the X-Men movie franchise is really going to spice things up in general and we can't wait to see how it pans out.
